What a wonderful retreat for families and groups! Originally a farmhouse with a number of outbuildings, this property has now become a very popular luxurious holiday villa. The seductive accommodation is well appointed and comprises of a main house and some separate annexes below the main house. Large families can have independence from each other without giving up excellent facilities to gather all together. For family enjoyment, facilities are 5-star with two pools, one large and infinity and other in a corner of the finca. Sleeps 12.

  • Normal check-in time: 4 pm – 10 pm; Normal check-out time: 10 am.

  • Both swimming pools are maintained all year round, weather permitting. The normal swimming season is May to September (included).

  • A special, refundable security deposit of 700 € is applicable to all bookings. Prior to your arrival you will have to order a bank transfer to the service supplier subject to deductions for breakages, damages and extra cleaning. 

  • A refundable security deposit of 700 euros applies to this property.

The 2nd pool is smaller and it is called the alberca pool as this used to be for irrigation of the land. This 2nd pool is no longer offered as heated from 2021.

Prices include six hours of cleaning each week.

There is a Bodega at the villa with a selection of interesting Spanish wines, sherries and beer, available for guests to purchase (payable locally).

Complimentary REN and Ritual toiletries.

Organic vegetables (in season) are available to guests.

There is a henhouse in the finca and when there are eggs, these are available to guests.

A food hamper is provided on arrival.

Catering services may be arranged.

Overview

In a gentle valley close to the historic city of Ronda and the traditional village of Arriate, we find this beautiful Andalusian estate,

We would not hesitate in including this accommodation in the top 10 of our favorite villas for an unforgettable holiday with friends or other families.

Here, down to the last detail has been thought of and for everyone, adults, and children alike.

You won`t miss having sun loungers or finding shady places. You can find your retreat area in the secret gardens, have a game of table football or billiards, or you may choose to go for a stroll to collect some seasonal fruit from the orchards.

There are terraces that are perfect for vermouth time, others are perfectly equipped to have a barbecue together while enjoying the views and grilling vegetables from the garden itself.

If during your holidays you want to forget about cooking and organizing a catering service on the farm itself, or simply arranged a traditional dish like a paella, the caretakers can offer you several options if advance notice is given.

When it is pool time, you’ll find in your room a cute, personalized courtesy basket to put your towel in and pop down for a dip; or go several lengths with its 13 meters in length!

For those members of the family or group who want to escape the noise from children, they will find a second pool in an intimate and private corner of the farm.

If we talk about personal touches, the house also obtains an excellent score. We will appreciate Egyptian cotton bedding, John Lewis towels, or Neil’s Yard bath products.

The rooms, distributed between the main house and the attached houses, will allow us to be all close, but with our own spaces, both, inside and outside. Those rooms facing the sun are more exposed and they have air conditioning units fitted.

There are many other gratifying details for our guests in this, it is just impossible to list them all, but they all make this house a special one, a recommended option.

In a separate casita next to the main house, the caretaker / house sitter lives. You can count on her as an excellent local guide. You get help if needed but when privacy is desired, this is fully respected.

From the property you can walk to the village of Arriate in just over 20 minutes. If you wake up we recommend buying some very good churros from the local churrería to take to the rest of the group for breakfast.

Another much shorter walk will take you to some of the surrounding wineries that produce exceptional quality wines.

Travel by car from the house to one of the most fascinating cities in Andalusia. it is a matter of just 10 minutes; we are talking about the sublime and historic Ronda.

Location

Neighbourhood of large private estates and fincas. Access by a 3 km country lane from either Arriate village (railway station, bars, restaurants and simple shopping) or Ronda town (all facilities). The final few metres into the property are slightly steep but short and manageable with an ordinary car (avoid sports cars).
