Overview

This beautiful boutique cottage is located by one of the prettiest long sandy beaches of the wild Atlantic coast, nestled in the untamed dunes and surrounded by agricultural land.

The walk down to the beach is idyllic.

Far from the reach of tourists you are free to enjoy the great outdoors - with consistent surfing on the shore, wetlands laced with clams, countryside horse-riding, and delicious fresh fish restaurants offering homecooked fare.

This area is pure farmland and the neighboring dogs are often happy to say a friendly hello as they stretch out around the hamlet. You can see horses and grazing cows.

In Summer it is not rare to see dolphins jumping out of the ocean.

The views from the outdoor terrace are stunning and the small plunge pool is great for cooling off in the heat of the afternoons.

We were wowed by how the owners had utilized every inch of space in this property and the attention to detail ensures maximum comfort.

The ground floor has been dedicated to living space and above - you will find the master bedroom with small siesta room or second living space perfect for a child.

Above the master bedroom is the converted loft space with its own charming terrace. Whilst the squeaky wooden floorboards can be heard from down below, this didn’t disturb us, we were happy listening to the melody of the sea.

The mattresses and bedding are exquisite, the best you can get – ensuring a comfortable stay as you are lulled to sleep.

Everything in the property seems to pull together the boutique vibe – from the calming colors to the vintage chairs and winter wood burner.

The kitchen offers pretty sea views too and the bedrooms boast elegant open plan ensuite facilities.

The real highlight of this lovely property is the expansive sandy beach within walking distance, and the rugged beauty of the protected dunes.

One of the most stunning coastal pathways in Northern Spain passes by your holiday home: this is Pinos del Mar route. The cliffs, beaches and fishing villages won´t leave you indiferent.

A kilometer away and a short 15 to 20-minute stroll and you can find the village of Razo.

Half an hour away and you can explore the historic center of La Coruna with its cheery taverns and world heritage roman lighthouse.

Rafaela | August | 2023

What a wonderful break from the world . This house is a unique retreat into nature and is flanked by wild beaches, protected dunes and pristine nature. Our days were passed with freshly delivered bread, long walks through the dunes, swims and surfing at the beach and incredible local hikes along the wild coastline. The house is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of charm. What a pleasure to wake up and fall asleep to crashing waves. Eva was such a helpful host and made us feel welcome with delicious local treats on our arrival. If you are looking for a wild , beachy escape in a unique part of Spain- this is the place !"

Ben | September | 2019

We had a really great time in Galicia. It was beautiful, empty beaches and good food, lovely forests. The house was perfect for us, and a fantastic base for our holiday. It was exactly as pictured, and nothing at all was missing to make our stay really enjoyable. Thanks to Eva, we were given plenty of ideas for trips, and made and the most of the good weather. She really couldn’t do enough for us. The house is lovingly restored, and we felt very care had been taken to ensure we’d have a good week. The highlight was the bread van stopping outside at about 10.00 each morning!"

Sarah | December | 2018

Our week here was the highlight of an amazing trip. Roberto was the consummate host and could not have provided a better experience. His hospitality went above and beyond, including local knowledge and gourmet treats. Our five year old thought he was the greatest (and so did we). The property is well appointed and equipped and it’s a gentle walk into town. We’d come back and stay a month and still feel it wasn’t enough. We tell anyone who asks that this is the place to go. Truly an experience and a stay that we will treasure."

We have had a lovely week at the beach house, the house is furnished in a very nice way and all the fixtures are of a very high quality. There are lovely touches throughout the house and the kitchen / living room is very comfortable. We were very pleased and will return to see more of the area."

Alan | February | 2018

Roberto was an excellent host, friendly, informative and keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay in Galicia. The house is very comfortable, cleverly designed, thoughtfully equipped. and stylish. The immediate beach area and tidal lake are beautiful and reached via a patchwork of fields. The property is an ideal touring base to see Galicia - an easy drive to Santiago de Campostela or in either direction to the wild, historic and unspoilt coastline. We had our dog with us and there were no issues accessing any of the beaches (granted we were out of high season). If you are in to nightlife and 'cosmopolitan' cities Galicia is probably not for you. If however you are looking for a refreshing and peaceful holiday in a fascinating and less explored area of Spain you will love it, and won't find a more charming and practical base than this cottage - particularly if you are a couple or small family group. We also had a trouble-free experience with the Rustical Travel team - they were very responsive to any queries and the information on the property and area was accurate and helpful. Muchos gracias"

A very carefully appointed and designed retreat. Ideal for 4 persons. The walk across the dunes to the beach is glorious (very healthy) and Razo has a nice surf scene which our older children loved plus the surf lessons. This area is a tucked away Spanish secret. Eva and Robert are great hosts."
