Bright and cheerful villa with views to die for. Enjoy peace and tranquility in this totally private setting. The villa is wonderfully designed with plenty of space for 6 people and high levels of comfort for everyone. You are just 8 minutes drive from the lovely village of El Gastor and there are other pretty whitewashed villages nearby. You'll be spoilt here! Sleeps 6 people.

Overview
This holiday villa, perched in the beautiful Ronda Mountains really took our breath away!
The setting is exceptional, and the house is first class. A place to enjoy in all seasons… in spring surrounded by wild grasses, daisies and Mediterranean trees, in summer the property is an oasis amongst burnished slopes and peaks.
You can be cosy in winter, curled up on the sofas with the crackling fireplace, central heating and the low-lying sun permeating the large windows. To top it all the view of the Zahara Lake is stunning and so blue! The house gently faces west and the sunsets that trickle down over the lake are intoxicating.
Although we adore our historical rustic houses, this cheerful home, created in 2012, seduced us with its architectural expertise and consideration for the villa’s inhabitants!
If you value total privacy, pretty terraces, large strategically placed windows which allow the Andalusian sunlight to flood in, instantly creating a happy ambience, then this holiday home is for you!
Whoever designed this villa deserves an award! They clearly took great pride in their work and paid close attention to detail. The photos say it all, from the intricate brick work and pebble tiling to the sumptuous wooden beams and banisters used throughout the house.
This is a spacious, light and a happy home with ample space for six people, where you can stretch and breathe comfortably.
The delightful bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and spill out onto charming terraces.
Downstairs the kitchen is equally attractive and bright, with an almost professional kitchen range, situated conveniently next to a charmingly furnished terrace.
As we have said the creator of this villa really wanted all the details to be more than splendid and we feel that his attention to the pool and garden have topped it all!
Not only do you enjoy total privacy and capture the most wonderful views from outside, but the gardens are a lawned, vivid green and the pool can be heated and has an electric cover to keep it warm during chilly nights. This potentially extends the pool’s use to months such as April or October.
What more could you ask for?
Although you could feel that the location is somewhat remote, you are only an eight to a twenty-minute drive away from pretty villages which have shops and some good bars and restaurants.
The closest village, El Gastor, is lovely, typically Andalusian with whitewashed houses and smelling of Jasmin in the autumn. Or you could visit Algodonales, which has most facilities, in ten minutes.
This holiday villa is certainly in a very enviable location, next to the fascinating Grazalema Natural Park and only twenty-five minutes away from the classy historical town of Ronda, one of Spain’s most spectacular highlights.

Sunny hillside high above Lake / reservoir Zahara and next to Grazalema Natural Park.
Accessed by a 1 km rural track from the road to El Gastor village. The track is not challenging (or too long) and all you need is an ordinary car.

A stunning finca—tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. It has absolutely everything you could need, including a fabulous swimming pool. The location is wonderfully peaceful; the only sound you’ll hear is the gentle ringing of bells from free-roaming sheep in the distance. + Read moreThis is the 4th time we have stayed at a Rustical Travel villa. The villa itself was lovely but had 2 major points which were lacking. It was a large modern villa with huge windows. From mid afternoon until 9 pm the sun shone straight into the back of the house and outdoor seating area. The house was therefore incredibly hot and there were no standalone fans. It was almost unbearable. There needs to be an awning/umbrella by the eating area as well. If we kept all the doors/shutters closed to keep out the sun the villa quickly became very stuffy. Thankfully there was air conditioning in the bedrooms. There was no shade around the pool and no parasols by the sun loungers. We did ask Joe about this and the fan. He managed to find a few of what looked like pub umbrellas with non matching bases so they had to be secured in place by garden tools. They absolutely did not do the job. This is the first time we have stayed in a villa with no fans or parasols so were disappointed about this as would have presumed they were standard requirements. They are small additions which would make the villa absolutely perfect. I would be interested in your opinion on this. The setting and local area were fantastic and the beds very comfortable. Rustical Update
We appreciate this feedback from a returning Rustical Travel guest, and we are equally grateful to the property owners who are committed to improving the guest experience.
In this case, the owner was unaware that the lack of shade in certain areas could cause such discomfort. After receiving this comment, they have committed to improving sun protection and ventilation in the villa’s shared spaces.
All three bedrooms already have adequate air conditioning, and additional air conditioning or fans in the common areas are now planned. A permanent solution is also being considered to provide better shade for the outdoor dining area and the poolside loungers, considering the winds occasionally affect the area.
The owner also points out that the outdoor dining area is located beneath a terrace, which usually provides shade. However, they will review whether this may be insufficient during certain hours in high summer and take steps if needed.
These improvements aim to increase overall comfort during the hotter months. We are thankful to our guests who help us identify areas for improvement.
