Overview

Where better to be in a village, than on the fringe. You have the best of both worlds;quiet and peaceful with pretty vistas of Gaucin and the surrounding countryside, as well as wonderful uninterrupted views of Gibraltar and Morocco on clear days. And then, within easy walking distance you can enjoy tapas bars, restaurants, shops, etc

Being on the edge of Gaucin, the house feels fairly private with no more houses in front of you. Although the pool area could be overlooked, the property owners assured us on our visit that the neighbours are screet, and we really didn’t feel particularly exposed.

The terraces are all very appealing and we loved the splash pool on the lower terrace with some lovely tropical plants and with flowing water on the day of our visit.

The living area is a delightful open planned space which extends out to a terrace where you can eat al fresco or simply sit back and enjoy the view.

The kitchen, with its decent facilities, beckons you to rustle up a tortilla; and while you cook you can still enjoy the closeness of friends and family. There is also a barbeque on the terrace to enjoy outdoor cuisine. It is all close at hand.

Being on three floors you can relish some privacy and the master bedroom is particularly wonderful with its smart ensuite bathroom and its private little terrace.

The decoration is both simple and tasteful, and the overall sensation we had was one of cheerfulness and comfort.

This is a lovely village house in one of Andalucia’s prettiest villages and it has all the ingredients for you to enjoy a great holiday.

YOUR REVIEWS

Fiona | June | 2023

Our villa was perfect! The views from every room are stunning! Carol and her husband were extemely efficient and welcoming. I was staying in Gaucin for my son's wedding and not only did Carol have provisions such as bread, eggs and milk waiting for us but also they a bottle of Cava. This was really thoughtful. The villa is clean, comfortable beds, lots of hot water for showers and everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely recommend and very likely to return."

Lovely property: bigger than I expected it to be from the pictures. It was well equipped and perfect for self-catering. Amazing views. The owners live next door and were very helpful. Gaucin is lovely with a few bars and restaurants to choose from - the house is only 5 mins walk from the centre of the village."
