Overview

The heightened sense of nature you get when you arrive to this property is simply jaw dropping. Picture total privacy and seclusion in a hilly green setting with terrific views; bird songs in the background orchestrating the environment.

The landscape in front of you is a neat composition of the extensive Genil Valley with the Mediterranean Sea and Gibraltar Bay as a backdrop. It is sure to inspire anyone who visits - an artist´s canvass ready to be painted.

Being perched on a hill means your view dominates over the entire valley while you are out of sight from everything else. The architecture of this property is interesting, cleverly constructed in interconnected split levels to challenge the steepness of the hill and designed in a way that allows guests to make the most of that impressive view.

Externally, the different levels are communicated with each other and the three main outdoor spaces, all furnished, are directly accessed from each other as well.

On arrival, the ascent through the driveway takes you to a roofed car space for 2 cars. You immediately find a wooden door that opens up directly into the pool area, after which there are different accesses to the house. Or, follow the gentle ramp towards the mid level of the villa to access a reception and the lovely bright kitchen.

The kitchen is modern and very well-equipped. The doors to the outside open up to an irresistible covered terrace, great for al fresco meals. This is one of the favourite spots in the house.

At a slightly higher level than the kitchen we find the master bedroom and at a lower level the stylish lounge and the 2nd and 3rd bedroom.

The lounge, with its airy high ceilings, reflects the quality of the property in furnishings, unique style, and high standards in comfort. Open the sliding doors to another large and covered furnished terrace, and enjoy the stunning views from either inside or out. Steps down from here lead you straight to the swimming pool.

The pool area is fantastic, but don´t take our word for it as the pictures tell you the whole story! The deck has plenty of space for sunbathing, while the porch area just beside it provides shade for when you need to cool off.

Again the views of the vibrant nature with thick woods to the west, the distinctive Gibraltar bay, the shimmering Mediterranean and the Crestellina Mountains to the east make the whole experience truly special… on clear days, the Rif mountains of Morocco are clearly visible, another exotic touch.

The 4th bedroom is at the lower level accessed from the kitchen via steps. It may not be as exciting as the others, but it does benefit from a direct access to the pool area.

The property is managed by a helpful local team which have experience in welcoming and taking care of holidaying guests. You are a quick call away for any assistance you may require.

You may see a cat in this estate, it is actually fed not far from the house, but in our visits to this property we never saw this cat.

Although the villa invites you to simply laze around and relax, a quick drive to the picturesque mountain village of Gaucin will allow you to experience Spain´s laid-back village life. Take an evening off for some tapas or a good meal, and venture around its cobbled streets lined with pretty white-washed houses.

The area in itself also has a great network of trails for keen walkers and the historic Ronda town is only a 45 minute drive away.

If beaches are what you are after, the nearest coast is just over 30 minutes away. Or, head a bit further towards Tarifa for the wilder Atlantic - at an hour away, this is another place that will not leave you indifferent.

Grace | August | 2023

Beautiful villa, tucked away with the most breathtaking views. A very comfortable villa with brilliant outside seating areas and lots of space to spread out with a large family. Some points to consider to make it a better experience: AC in the 4th bedroom (with summer temperatures of 40 degC + this is a must). Increase unlocked cupboard space in the master bedroom (there was no long hanging cupboard space and only a tiny amount of space available). Increase unlocked cupboard space in the kitchen. There was no cupboard for us to store food in, which meant the kitchen surfaces became very congested and messy. Beni is absolutely fantastic, 5 stars!!! Couldn’t be more attentive and helpful. Carmen the cat is also divine!"

Beautiful property and stunning interior design. The house had everything we needed and more. Beni, the housekeeper, was such a help and we had a wonderful stay. The house was very remote and the drive was tricky at times to get to the house but apart from that, it was wonderful."

We stayed at this property for 3 weeks in September 2022. It is a very nice house, well maintained, with a terrific view to the coast. It is a perfect spot for a great holiday, and that is exactly what we had. It has well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, a comfortable living room, a spacious kitchen and a number of smart outside areas for sun and shade. The swimming pool suited our needs very well. Beni, who looks after the house, is super-concerned to help, extremely efficient and very nice. He is a real bonus. He solved a couple of small problems we had with speed, The cleaner was also both pleasant and efficient. If we had to make any criticism of the property they would be: 1. The track from the country road to the house is quite hard going and we should have been better informed about this before we arrived. 2. A lot of the house - cupboards and so on - is locked up. We appreciate the reasons for this but, in the kitchen so many cupboards are shut tight that there is barely room for the visitor to store their own food. You do not want to put cornflakes in the fridge after all, and there were only two of us. Some more space should be made available to visitors in this room. 3. Gaucin is quite a difficult town for the visitor to navigate. The advice in the house on local shops was quite useful BUT it would have been more helpful if an annotated map of the town was also provided, showing the sites of the shops mentioned and noting best parking places for each. bert moorhouse 5 November 2022"

Tucked away at the end of the lane, this place is very secluded, relaxing and commands great views over to the Crestalina and down to the coast. There is lots of space to spread out , with well thought shaded areas. Inside the rooms are good and the recently done Kitchen has just about everything if you’re cooking."

This is a really lovely villa. We have stayed in or near Gaucin many times and agreed this house was our favourite. The outside spaces are perfect with exceptional views from all the terraces and inside it is beautifully decorated with an absolutely stunning master bedroom suite. The kitchen is really well appointed too with everything you could possibly need. A lovely swimming pool as well - perfect for us as a group of adults (.I would expect if you did have small children with you, you would need to watch them quite carefully as there is a steep drop from one of the sides). We had a wonderful week and will definitely return. Excellent service from Rustical Travel too. Thank you."

Lovely villa in a beautiful spot. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, relaxed atmosphere just outside Gaucin with all its fine restaurants and local eateries . We had a very enjoyable week in October and the weather was beautiful. However a car is essential and the drive to the villa is up a steep windy hill which is gravelly in places. Only minor comments to make, couldn't find any hair dryers or dish wash tablets(a couple to get us started before the Monday shop would have been helpful) and the toilet paper rationing was a bit sparce."
