While the grounds are not entirely for your own private use, the cottage does have the feeling of being on its own as it is the only one which is clearly independent from the others, offering a good degree of privacy, encircled by a nice stretch of green garden grass.

For outdoor living, you´ll have sun loungers on the lawned area and beautiful views looking south; the pergola provides shade for when mercury rises and the porch grants excellent al fresco meals.

Don´t worry about coming and going with plates as the adjoining kitchen means having everything handy for stress-free outdoor meals - an early morning cuppa, or a tranquil dinner here is highly recommended!

The D-shaped pool allows plenty of space for cooling off as it doesn´t get crowded. It has a shallow end for kids or for adults wanting to laze around in the sun.

For families with young toddlers, the gate surrounding the pool is definitely a plus, and other outdoor games such as swings, a slide and badminton are valuable additional entertainments.

The region benefits from long summers, and although initially you may only imagine an ideal summer holiday here, it is indeed a great property for winter as well, when days become shorter inviting you for some indoor living.

It´s a home for all seasons, as its tropical gardens suggest, with winters being pretty mild in the area, but who doesn´t like basking in the gentle warmth of a wood stove?

We especially liked the attention to detail throughout. The owners clearly have guest´s comfort in mind and a good eye for holidaymaker´s expectations. The style is simple and rustic but with personality, giving it a real friendly feel to it.

You can also expect pretty high standards, such as a properly equipped kitchen, a generally good WiFi connection, comfortable beds and pleasant, soft bedding too.

Location wise, it is conveniently situated for some great day-outs - here are 3 plans you shouldn´t miss out on:

- The Little villages of the High Alpujarras, for stunning walks and breathtaking scenery
- The Tropical Coast with fish bars and pretty beaches

And not to forget the local street market. Only a 15-20 minute walk away from your cottage, you´ll find a curious, eclectic mixture of people selling and buying locally-sourced produce.

Families with one or two young children will greatly benefit from this cottage, although couples alone will equally find it a good fit.
