Overview

We highly recommend a holiday in Corcubión, a pretty village on the impressive Death Coast, or Costa da Morte in Galician.

José and Ana, a local couple with an excellent eye for turning old village houses by the sea into cosy stylish holiday homes, are now offering this lovely accommodation for families or couples.

This is one of the local villages in the region that, despite being a tourist attraction for being so well preserved, still maintains its seafaring essence and character of the old days.

The house is a very short stroll to the sea and close views of the ocean can be enjoyed from parts of the cottage.

For couples or families looking for a relaxing and easy holiday in Galicia, close to beaches with everything at hand without having to jump into the car, then this is probably a safe bet!

The commitment of the property owners in providing guests an excellent service, together with their solid experience in tourism, means you are more than likely to find things in good order, and we are confident that, here, you will be in very good and capable hands.

Although it is true that unlike other villas that we offer in Galicia, this house does not provide a swimming pool or private gardens, but does promise to be in a perfect state and undoubtedly it is in a great location of Northern Spain.

The house was very easy for us to find on our first visit and unloading the car can be done easily, door to door. Once unloaded, from what we could see, you can park nearby, just a bit further up the same street.

Once inside, on the ground floor you find a well-equipped kitchen next to a dining area. Just beyond the living room you can go outside to find the terrace with a barbecue and a chill-out area. Everything is easily accessible except for a few steps and is completely suitable for families.

The bedrooms are found on the first floor, our favourite being bedroom number 2 (in our photos), which is ideal if you have children as it has an adjoining room with single beds.

The house is decorated with care, and attention has been paid to detail; we are sure you will appreciate this when entering the house and during your stay.

If you want to discover the magic of the Costa de la Muerte in Galicia and its delightful fishing villages, this house could be just right for you!

Helen | July | 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage, the highlight was the location, so easy to walk into the town (which is lovely) or to the beach. Although the cottage is close to town it is incredibly quiet and the views are wonderful. There is plenty of space inside, it is spotlessly clean, well-equipped and both a shaded area and sunny spot in the garden area. We highly recommend this cottage and the area."

Very warm and useful welcome by the host who gave us tips on where to visit, eat and shop locally. The property is ideally located for the Costa da Morte with dramatic scenery and some beautiful almost empty (in September) beaches. The cottage itself is comfortable, spacious and well equipped with nice views over Corcubión and the harbour."

Really great 10 day holiday in Galicia! The house itself was clean, easy to use and really cozy - not to mention the amazing view of the water from our bedroom. It is a quick walk into the centre of the small town, which was great for getting a coffee and a delicious bite to eat (and wow! The food was incredible!)."
