Booking information for CA54

  • Normal check-in time: 4 pm – 8 pm; Normal check-out time: 10 am. Check-in outside the normal arrival time may be possible under request and at an additional fee (please ask us).

  • Special cancellation policy applies to this property. When a client cancels a booking the following cancellation charges applies: more than 56 days before the booking start date, the non-refundable deposit only; 52-56 days, 50% of the total booking value; 47-51 days, 75% of the total booking value; 47 days or less, 100% of the total booking value.

  • Electricity consumption included in the price: 50 Kwh per day. Extra Kwh costs depends on the market and range between 0.25 and 0.60 euros /kWh + 21% VAT and must be paid locally. Property managers will provide on arrival a reading of this supply.

  • Gas consumption included: 10 cubic meters per day. Extra cubic meters costs depend on the market and range between 1.30 and 1.50 euros + 21% VAT and must be paid locally. Property managers will provide on arrival a reading of this supply.

  • Water consumption included: 1 cubic meter per day. Extra cubic meters costs 4.50 euros + 21% VAT and must be paid locally. Property managers will provide on arrival a reading of this supply.

  • The swimming pool is open all year, weather permitting, but not heated. The normal swimming season is May to September (both inclusive).

  • Pets may be permitted on request, in which case a fee will apply. Please ask.

  • A special, refundable security deposit of 2000 € is applicable to all bookings. Prior to your arrival you will have to order a bank transfer to the service supplier subject to deductions for breakages, damages and extra cleaning.

Notes on layout

Bedroom 7 (annexe Cottage) uses the bathroom which is directly next door but accessed from outside.

The capacity of the house can be extended up to 22 people with additional beds, but at an extra cost, please ask us.

Although the capacity can be extended to 22 people we consider the capacity of 18 people should not be exceed to not compromise comfort.

The single beds are 0.80 metre wide (instead of the standard 0.90 m width) and two double bedded rooms have the bed against the wall. Some bedrooms may be better suited for children.

Overview

Our New Additions team had the opportunity to visit this property for the first time in Summer 2020, just when a group was about to arrive and check-in.  

Everything looked in excellent order for the arriving guests and we liked the formal Covid-19 protocols followed by the property managers. First impressions count and this was a good start to our visit.

The property setting enjoys excellent privacy. It is a very natural spot and you can go for lovely walks from your doorstep.The nearby little village may not have facilities as such, but there is a family run winery which can be visited.

Good quality organic wine is made here and this is a great location for wine lovers. Less than10 minutes drive away there are villages where you can eat out or do shopping so you are not too isolated.

The finca with its rolling lawned gardens has mature olive trees and plenty of spots to enjoy outdoor living, whether you want to eat all together, sunbathe, read a book or organize an event.

This is the popular wine-making region of Penedés so the red wine production usually means you can expect a good climate and it is certainly considered as one of the sunniest regions of Catalonia. 

We liked the way the property was maintained and the vast experience and knowledge the property managers demostarted when we spoke about assisting guests on arrival and during their stay.

The accommodation in this 15th century farmhouse is arranged on two floors with 6 bedrooms, but there are also two annexes that increase the capacity with 3 extra bedrooms, giving 9 bedrooms in total.

The main house with its old thick walls keep temperatures comfortable in Summer, there is an A/C unit on the landing of the 1st floor, but we were reassurred that fans were enough for the rest of the house.

The cottage and the apartment don't have the same thick walls, so they have A/C units. It is a rustic cosy property with some lovely touches and presented with good style.

You get 450 m2 of space with two dining rooms as well as an ancient small wine cellar (local wine bottles available and payable locally).

Although we must say this is not a house with particularly large bedrooms and the single beds are 0.80 metre wide.

A couple of bedrooms have the beds against the wall which may mean a very slight annoyance when getting in and out of bed. Perhaps the maximum number of adults we would recommend for this property is 12.

Otherwise the mattresses and the bed linen all seem to be of good quality, so we felt confident that guests would be able to have a good nights sleep at this holiday villa.

Although you are in the open countryside, visiting Barcelona is easy and not far away from the fashionable seaside town of Sitges. Beaches from your holiday home are only 20 minutes away.
