Overview

This holiday home is perfect for those who want to absorb the culture and ambience of Andalusia, whilst at the same time enjoy the benefits of the perennially sunny Costa del Sol.

We love village houses which serve to give a variety of authentic holiday experiences. Casares is renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and embraces historical and artistic importance. Although it was originally constructed by the Romans, the present-day village is of Arabic origins.

From your casa you can walk to bars, restaurants and shops as well as to a great food market in the historical quarter of the village.

Then you could hop in your car, which you can normally easily park, just up a short slope from the house, and drive fifteen minutes to your local beach, Bahia de Casares which is lovely!

It is also a fantastic location for visiting chiringuitos (seafood beach bars), the beautiful village of Gaucin, the historical town of Gibraltar, the cultural scene of Malaga or the swanky cosmopolis of Marbella!

But let’s, for a while, get to know your holiday home.

It is truly a home from home, with loving attention to detail by the kind and attentive property owners. Both they and we want you to feel looked after and totally satisfied in this charming abode.

Starting from the fundamentals, the floors are a warm and earthy terracotta, always a winner! The decoration is, in our view, very tasteful and original. The house oozes with comfort, light and cleanliness.

The living room and the dining room are open plan with gorgeous paintings, lamps, cushions, etc, and set off with a voguish chandelier over the dining table. Then there are the views to die for! On a clear day you will be rewarded with a view of Morocco.

Outside is the terrace where you can enjoy meals in style. There is a fantastic barbeque on hand if you fancy a clambake luncheon or some other roasted feast!

The kitchen is a very agreeable space, and we loved the mixture of natural and olive painted woodwork. It misses a dishwasher but is a lovely place to wash dishes, whilst perhaps, finishing a chupito.

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms have wonderful views and all with such individual touches, from the beams to the rugs. You certainly know you are not staying in a franchise!

The first floor bathroom is truly sumptuous with a lovely “tub” and a beautiful wooden carved mirror.

This village house is a great all year-round holiday choice! With dual air conditioning and heating units, and a charming fireplace in the living room, we are sure you will enjoy holidays in all seasons.
