Notes on Facilities

Although a computer may be shown on the photos of the library room, please note that this is not provided.

On one far end of the garden there is a fenced water reservoir used to irrigate this extensive finca, this remains fenced and closed to guests for safety reasons.

For the beer tap at the pool bar, beer barrels (Spanish lager) may be requested (well in advance) at an additional cost (estimated cost per barrel: 80 to 95 euros for 30 litres).

Although it may seem rare that this property only provides 3 sunloungers, there is a horse shoe shaped built-in bench with cushions by the pool and 2 additional sunloungers may be requested. On July 2019 we are informed that there are plans to have some more sunloungers for 2020.

Heating is only included from October to April but for other months it is available at an additional cost, payable locally.

Overview

This is an outstanding holiday property; the house in itself is superb and the rest of the grounds and gardens are fascinating, with a real romantic feel to them.

Upon our first impression when walking into the property, we thought: “What a find!”. Get beautifully lost in an inspiring maze of trees, flowers and bushes... find your way to your favourite magical corner via small pathways and flowered arches.... walk among fountains and orange trees... rest on a hidden bench.... play tennis in total seclusion... or simply read a book by the pool on a sun lounger. This property is all about treating yourself.

The terrain and grounds are not challenging, which allows people of all ages to enjoy it and get around with ease. Young toddlers should nevertheless be attended as the pool is not gated and the gardens are fairly extensive.

The long, 16m pool is great for those who like to practice some fitness laps - or would you rather fancy a poolside drink? Expect a proper pool bar with fridge space and your very own beer tap. Don´t forget to order your barrel!

Barbecue lovers will be in their element and spoilt for choice. Probably one of the best barbecue areas we´ve found in Spain, you´ll have two barbecues, a wood oven, an electric hob, a sink, a fridge, a large preparation island and, the icing on the cake for aficionados, a spit barbecue for rotisseries.

This kind of outdoor facilities is hard to beat.

It is surely a place to unwind, relax and be inspired, although active guests will also have their fair share of entertainment. With so much to do within the property itself, add the possibility of local walks from your doorstep, or climbing up the imposing 3,000 metre high massif of Sierra Nevada, starting at just a short drive away from the house.

If you are not that adventurous, easier local walks also abound.

In regards to the holiday home itself, it is honestly hard to fault. With everything kept to very high standards, it is a villa to suit demanding clients who do not wish to spare comfort and who value great facilities, cooking conveniences and opportunities for everyone to have fun during their holidays.

All bedrooms are nicely prepared and decorated to make you feel at home. Those on the ground floor enjoy direct access to the gardens, while the ones on the first floor have terraces and larger bathrooms with both bathtubs and walk-in showers.

Perhaps the bedroom in the basement is at a relative disadvantage, being on a lower floor, as it doesn't have a window so doesn't receive the natural light the other ones get. But it does benefit from some independence to the rest, having direct access to the fitness room next door, a WC, a shower, a sauna and even its own kitchenette.

The modern kitchen, with its distinctive high-quality Smeg appliances, includes a breakfast island, loads of fridge space, plenty of varying tableware and even an adjoining room which serves as both a walk-in pantry and a utility room.

Having the furnished porch area next to the kitchen is also a plus for easy access during outdoor meals, which only emphasizes that the design of it all is very well thought out for practicality.
Come and enjoy this villa at any time of the year, no matter the season.

The house is nicely cooled down during hot summer days with air-conditioning, while for colder months you can benefit from pleasant, under floor heating.

The outside space maintains its amazing atmosphere year round as well. Bright summer greens are later replaced by dark green leaves with orange tints from winter´s fruit. Be sure to pick an orange during your stroll and try its organic taste...

But if you think this property is a delight at daytime, you will be surprised to see the gardens become ever more vibrant at night. There is something in the way the property is illuminated, with the darkened sky surrounding it and the peace and quiet in the background, which makes it truly dreamy.

Arriving at this place for the first time, you would never guess the whole different world that lies inside. Open the doors, let yourself in and indulge.

And although the finca gets all the attention, the unique setting should not go amiss: a semi-tropical valley, sitting between the Mediterranean Sea and the snowy mountains of Sierra Nevada, coated white for most of the year.

The magic of Granada is 30 minutes away, as are the unspoilt beaches of the Tropical Coast, heading in opposite directions.

The villa is gorgeous, spacious, extremely well equipped and garden is beautiful (huge). We have never seen so many different types of crockery and kitchen tools. The number of Fridges in the villa and in the outside areas is impressive, I think we found 6 or 7. The outside cooking areas are fabulous and the pool great. The setting is stunning and we loved walking in the foothills of the mountains and visiting the villages. The only thing missing was being shown around when we arrived as it took a while to locate the correct villa and work out how the appliances etc worked. Not a major issue but it worked have been helpful to be met on arrival and shown how it all works. Overall this is a fabulous large villa and the location is stunning."

We loved the property. the extensive grounds were simply amazing. picking lemons and vegetables from the garden was an added bonus. the whole place was extra special. my boys were delighted and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and paddle court as well as the supreme outdoor cooking facilities. the only thing it lacks is a house book with instructions and guidance notes. It took us a while to figure out some of the equipment and lighting. Even the gardener struggled with one set of fairy lights. But once, found, the effect was magical!"
