Sinopsis

The house itself is five stars, it is beautifully restored, full of character, well equipped and very comfortable. However there is a major problem in the area with the number biting flies which detracted from the experience. I would recommend installing something that can deal with the flies. The pool is a fantastic facility, our children got great enjoyment from it. I would suggest changing the wooden decking which can splinter."

Overall we loved our time in the house. It was comfortable and Juan Carlos was very helpful. I would say however that the pool area needs to be updated to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the house."

We spent a lovely 2 weeks in August in this lovely cottage with its idyllic surrounding towns and picturesque nearby coast. The facilities are perfect- lovely eating areas, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms though the beds are a little uncomfortable and the showers overflow in the smaller bedrooms. The pool is wonderfully refreshing (and snake free) and the pool house is pleasantly convenient."

Rustical Update

The property manager informed us that he solved the problem with the showers in the smaller bedrooms. We have also informed him about the beds so he can keep an eye on them.

We had a lovely three week holiday at this villa basking in glorious Galician sun. The layout of the house was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for Juan and his English speaking brother. We could have done with instructions for the hob (bizarre but true) and DVD player. The bed in the main bedroom was lovely but the spare bedroom beds were uncomfortable for adults - probably fabulous for children! Information received from Rustical Travel was clear and concise."

Rustical Update

We have been confirmed by the property manager that the instructions for the hob and DVD player are now at the property.

My family and I (partner, 1 year old son and his grandma) recently had a fantastic stay. This is a beautiful characterful house which would suit a wide range of guests. There is plenty of space both inside and out and the pool area is an added bonus. It's also in a great location - all the convenience of being near the amenities of town yet tucked away up a rural road. It is very near lovely sites such as Baiona, A Guarda and Tui. We had a great time exploring but we're always happy to come back to the property to enjoy the Spanish summer evenings in the garden. Check in and check out was very smooth an the owner very welcoming. Highly recommended."

In all dealings with Rustical Travel, from initial enquiries through to payment stage and directions (extremely detailed and very needed!), Rustical Travel were really professional and helpful. I loved the way that each email enquiry was speedily replied to by the same person. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 3 children (from 5-10 years) and we all LOVED the villa. It was old with lots of character, but also had enough modern amenities and equipment to make the stay really relaxing. The bedrooms, showers and bathroom were great, and we spent many evenings in the lovely exterior patio area outside the kitchen. And the sitting room made a great ' chill out area'. Loved the dishwasher! It was also very clean, with new bedding turning up on the middle weekend. The pool was fantastic, and was kept clean by an associate of the owner's who regularly sorted it out. I would point out that there were a few metal studs that were sticking up above the wooden planking which we were concerned might hurt the kids' feet, so we covered them over, as well as a couple of planks being loose. But we didn't see one snake (slightly disappointed as we all like them!) The only other negative points were that the cd player didn't work and we were unable to fathom the video player, if it was working, which we decided didn't. Maybe a little attention is needed on those items. Overall, it really was a magical holiday, with the villa being even better than we had expected, and was a 5 minute drive from Tomino, a lovely little town, and in the middle of loads of things to explore (as all the information sent by Rustical Travel alerted us to). Didn't want to leave."

Rustical Update

We have been confirmed by the property manager that the loose planks and metal studs have been fixed. He also informed that the cd player is now working, and the instructions for the DVD player are at the property.

Lovely villa holiday. The position of the pool is a bit inconvenient with regards to access to the villa the radio cd player didnt work which was a shame as a bit of music in the evening was really missed. Apart from that - fabulous."

Rustical Update

We have informed the manager of the villa about the problems with the cd player and he has fixed it (but there is no longer a radio at the property).

The villa was excellent, but the pool area was infested by snakes. This for us ruined our stay,I despatched 15 in one day.We were there for a month and the pool was never cleaned and was unusable in the final week.I strongly recommend that you inform future clients of the snakes,if we had been aware of them we would not have booked the villa. Yours Brian."

Rustical Update

Property owner confirms he is trying to eradicate them and this occurrence has been clearly mentioned in the description of the facilities. (January 2015)

A belated note to say thanks for the directions, we found the house no problem and had a great week. The house was lovely; only point I would make is that a dishwasher would have been nice but wasn't the end of the world!"

Rustical Update

We spoke to the owner and he has now installed a dishwasher in the kitchen.

Dear people from RUSTICAL, Many thank you's for another fantastic holiday!! Galicia is really a superb place to spent your holidays and the house was just fantastic. We had clear blue sky for 14 days and an average of 30°C. Thanks for the efficient organisation, the baby cot and high chair. We enjoyed our holiday very much."

Karen | July | 2013

While both the house and the owner were lovely. I felt that it should have been made clear that the "gated pool" actually ment that the pool was not in the same garden as the house. This would be a distinct problem for those with small children. This fact was not made clear in any of the literature and I would not have booked the property had I known, kind regards, kj"

Rustical Update

It's true that the pool garden is separated from the house by a few metres. We have done our best to make this clear in the Property description.
