Overview

Sink into silence and gaze out across a tapestry of Andalusian hills that stretch from the tip of Africa across the Mediterranean at this traditional villa.

Although new on our books since 2016, this white wash home nestled in acres of land has been tugging on the heart of visitors for two decades.

The tick of time ebbs through some of the design of the farmhouse; although it is not a luxury modern villa, it offers instead plenty of charm and a homely feel with a good level of comfort.

With the warmth of the Spanish sun, outdoor living at this villa is fabulous. You can wander the lush Mediterranean gardens, swim a few laps in the 13-meter heated pool, and nurse ice cold cervezas as you gaze out into the scorching hills of Africa.

When the heat gets a little much you can retreat to the cool shade of the private courtyard.

The villa is brimming with traditional touches and rustic appeal that brings a slip of romance to your stay. From the old brass bell to the open fireplace, it’s a place you can call home.

The country kitchen is large, bright and sunny with doors that fling open to the terrace making it easy to plan al fresco meals on the porch. Living spaces also have that homely appeal with bright rugs, beamed ceilings, and even a piano for the musically inclined.

We found the master bedroom the clearly superior of the 4 on offer - a king bed on a private floor with ensuite bathroom and private terrace. The other bedrooms are ample and spread across the ground floor for ease of access.

When you tire of losing yourself in the endless views and listening to the bleating of sheep, you can head down to the shared tennis court only 10 minutes away.

Walkers will delight in the expanse of evergreen and cork oaks right outside the door, and those who want to soak up history will adore visiting the once upon a time bandit lair town of Gaucin.

When you can bear to tear yourself away from the villas you will find the white capped wilderness of the Atlantic beaches less than an hour away. A little closer and the Sabinillas Mediterranean offer fresh fish lunches and seaside charm.

YOUR REVIEWS

Carol | October | 2018

A very lovely villa. Spacious, comfortable and a relaxing home to stay in. Wonderful views from the terrace and the master bedroom. The pool was excellent for us as a family; quite deep even in the shallow end so care needed with small children. We loved the griffon vultures circling over the garden. Would highly recommend the train to Ronda from Sant Pablo station, 10minutes drive from the house; a wonderful way to see the countryside with great views towards the Sierra de Grazalema. Would agree with earlier review that some kitchen equipment in need of replacement; oven door doesn’t close properly and wooden utensils pretty tired."

Rustical Update

We have informed the property manager so he can take a look at the oven door and replaced anytired wooden utensils.

Loved the house. It is a spectacular villa without being overbearing and fussy. Simply one of the finest views in the world. All rooms comfortable if a little dated - bathrooms especially so. Kitchen is clearly a cooks kitchen and works brilliantly for entertaining. Only very small niggle was some of the equipt was a little worn or needed replacing/updating (sieve broken, kettle limescale filter broken) and that should have been checked by the villa management given the high quality of the property and price. It would have also helped to have someone meet us and guide us through the villa when we arrived but we worked just about everything out. Would definitely return."

Rustical Update

We have informed the property manager about the worn-out kitchen equipment so he can replace any broken items. On arrival, normally the caretaker doesn't meet guests, but she is available in case her assistance is required.

We loved the villa and the location was perfect for exploring the many wonderful villages. The Villa truely is beautiful, the views amazing and we had a fantastic week. However, we do feel its important to let guests know that there is a cat that is bothersome if one is not a cat lover. We found its constant crying anoying when sitting in the outside areas and we couldnt leave the doors or windows open as it would come into the villa and get up on the dining room table and the beds."

Rustical Update

We have been informed by the property managers that no cat has been seen near the property for a long time, but they will be alert in case this is reported again.
