Overview

As you reach the glorious natural surroundings of this bright and airy villa in the early folds of the Ronda Mountains, one of the first things you notice is the distinctive Mediterranean pine forest scent.

Just a few villas nestle on these fertile hillsides, and they are all distant from each other and well hidden by woods affording the property excellent privacy: its irresistible pool, terraces and gardens are not overlooked. In short, it's a wonderful way of enjoying nature in a perfectly intimate way.

The area is simply gorgeous, presenting keen walkers with various opportunities from your very doorstep: some will be attracted by the idea of walking into deep unspoilt Mediterranean nature while others will just prefer to walk a bit from the house to contemplate a wonderful view of the sea or a magnificent sunset from there. A walker's paradaise!

Smart and unfussy, this is more than just a satisfactory holiday home. The house inside is comfortable, well finished, uncomplicated and yet equipped with modern facilities you may not expect to find within this budget range.

Indoor and outdoor living are well connected here, with access to the pool and terraces not just from the dining and the living areas but also from the downstairs single room, which opens to a terrace and a garden of its own and has en suite facilities.

Surrounded by terraces and semi-wild gardens, a good size pool is great for proper swims in complete privacy. There is also outdoors dining space conveniently shaded by cane roofing.

The brand new open plan kitchen has a very appropriate modern touch and it comes very well equipped.

Cheerful and just as bright as the rest of the house, the remaining three rooms are upstairs on the first foor and they are kept simple, neat and practical. Two of them have ovely balconies opening to vibrant Mediterranean nature. The last room on the first floor does not have a balcony, which can make it more suitable for children.

Overlooking the living area there is also a small but luminous mezzanine gallery where you can sit at your laptop or just do some reading. All bedrooms facing south in the house have air conditioning while the upstairs bedroom facing north is often naturally cool.

This is an ideal holiday home for those looking to get a good rest in a peaceful and private natural setting just an easy drive away from beaches and some of the prettiest white villages in Andalucia. Some of the best country restautants we have been to in the area are a healthy stroll away from the villa, 12 minutes according to Google Maps, but on a realistic note, we must say it takes about 20 minutes. You can also drive there: by foot or by car, local restaurants are well worth a visit and we list them in the local guide to the area we include in your holiday documents.

YOUR REVIEWS

Tracy | June | 2017

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at villa RD81. All the arrangements were easily sorted by Rustical Travel and we met Mark, the owner who took us up to the villa. Really perfect place, peaceful and secluded without being isolated. Comfie beds, great kitchen with all the facilities you need. The garden and pool are the best bit though, just perfect. We saw foxes in the garden and amazing vultures soaring above us. Nice to have option to watch vast choice of DVDs late at night. Wifi very fast. We loved Casares too as it had nearly everything you need, except for a quick trip to bigger supermarket in Manilva. Trip to Ronda was nice, but very touristy and we were after peace and quiet. Warren the pool an cleaned pool twice a week, and was very unobtrusive. The cleaner visited in middle of our stay and changed beds/tidied round. Highly recommended villa if you want to escape from all the madness Thanks Mark for everything.

Mark (the caretaker) met us at a local cafe and took us to the villa, which made finding it easier. The position is quiet and in amongst the trees, so shady when it is hot. The facilities are great, everything is there. The kitchen could do with a few more bits of equipment such as oven proof dishes, but we managed ok. We would not recommend the walk into the village unless you have a lot of time and are very fit! We loved our stay here, the views from the bedroom towards Gibralter were amazing and constantly changed. We would happily return here."

Onita | August | 2015

Our holiday in Casares in Villa RD81 last August was fantastic! Everything from the first call to Rustical Travel was managed in the most professional and friendly manner, I was reassured that all would be as promised. You were always happy to answer any questions and all the documentation provided was sent quickly. Thank you! The villa, was as described but what should not be underestimated is the location. The amazing pool, outdoor area, the views of the hills, the eagles flying overhead and the complete privacy afforded by this villa are second to none. Mark, the owner, was very helpful in all aspects of meeting to collect the villa keys, show us around the villa and was always just a phone call away. If you are looking for a spacious villa near a beautiful mountain village, yet not far from the coastal towns then this the villa! We even drove to Cadiz for a day which again was a beautiful drive and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend Rustical Travel (and have already done so) and we look forward to booking with you in the future. RD81 - We will be back! Onita"
