Utterly private, this elegant farmhouse represents quality accommodation ensconced in a tremendous landscape just fifteen minutes from the historic city of Antequera.

The property is located on the outskirts of the hamlet of Los Nogales, where it sits in over two acres of total privacy along with evergreen oaks and olives and close to El Torcal Natural Park (see detailed map).

The original structure has been left intact in a traditional restoration that links spacious interior and outdoor areas on a single floor. The house is tastefully fitted out and furnished with comfort and a rustic aesthetic in mind, exemplified by a generous use of wood, especially comfortable sofas and terracotta underfoot.

Bedrooms have large, quality mattresses, en-suite bathroom facilities, ceiling fans and French doors opening to the terrace and garden areas: an ideal arrangement. There is a light summer lounge and a warm winter living area with a wood-burning stove. A high-ceilinged dining room communicates with a smart, well-equipped kitchen.

Whether indoors or outdoors, the country villa promises an outstanding rural experience. A furnished terrace runs around the whole house providing a changing view of the countryside. There are a number of quiet spots to relax – the lawn being particularly inviting for sunbathers – and a few steps down from the house, a generously sized swimming pool is hard to resist, being positioned to give bathers a view both long and broad of the tremendous landscape.

Those wanting to explore the most famous and interesting cities of  Andalusia have the full line-up of Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba and Granada all within reach for day trips. Mediterranean beaches are 45 minutes’ drive and, more locally, we recommend visits to the lakes at El Chorro or the narrow pass of Los Gaitanes. There are also first-class meals to be had at good restaurants in the area.

A significant extra offered at this property is the opportunity to make use of the facilities at an associated spa hotel little more than 5 minutes' drive away. As clients of Rustical Travel, by simply paying for whatever you wish to use, you can play tennis (raquets and balls provided), arrange horse riding and enjoy the spa baths and treatments. They sometimes have bicycles for hire, too, and there's a restaurant. The reception staff speak English and will do their best to answer any questions you may have about the area.

The swimming pool area is a few steps down from the house.

Notes:
-Although this house has a gated pool, small children should be watched as the swimming pool has no shallow end.
-While the swimming pool is maintained all year round, please note that it is not heated.
-In winter, firewood is included for the first night only.
